The main attraction for the casual visitor to Pittsboro would be visiting the unique shops in town or eating at the various restaurants. There are shops such as French Connections that sell a variety of antiques and imports from France; or smaller gift shops such as Vespertine and Urban Sampler. As far as restaurants, the General Store Cafe somewhat defines a certain segment of Pittsboro, but S&T Soda Shoppe and Virlie's Grill are also very popular.
